Firstly, I have to appologize for the delay. It's been a busy week and internet has not been working properly. I first suspected that "they" we on to me but it doesn't seem to be the case. I went to my first interview on tuesday. It was a start-up in the investment area. I was quite excited when going to the interview as a project manager and things went well. It wasn't at all what I had expected. After only 20 min, the guy thought I would pass to the next test and I have to write a case study in 2 weeks time on something that interests me. I have had plenty of ideas and need to decide within the next few days what to write about. It should all be fun.
The second event was a visit from Sweden. Rachel came along with a couple of Swedish friends. Met up with them a couple of times although I didn't do any of the tourist stuff. I am suppose to be local now. :) Anyway, they seemed to enjoy Shanghai.
After 2 months of inactivity and too much beer, I played badminton last saturday. I felt very enthusiastic and borrowed a racket from one of the people there. It went well although I have to say that playing in 30 degree heat is a different story compared to how it is in Sweden. Anything close to this was the match I had in Singapore, thanks Teck-wee. Seems like there is some chinese tradition of eating dinner and getting drunk after a sporting activity. I got very drunk thanks to dehydration (and too much alcohol)... Not a happy camper on saturday evening.
The initial excitement has started to settle and I feel that I have come into the everyday lumber - a sign of boredom. Although being in Shanghai, I can't honestly say that I am that restless.
I am having problems uploading pictures but promise to post more next time which hopefully will not be too far off. Although my mind will be predominantly occupied with the case study...
